If you’ve done your research into how much to transfer VHS to DVD costs, you know our rates are amazing. We’re able to offer this great low price because we do all the work ourselves. This allows us to keep our overheads to a minimum and ensure a fair and reasonable cost for you.
Do you convert reels?
We only convert 8mm cassette tapes. Currently we don’t convert 8mm reels.
Do you copy tapes to DVD?
Absolutely! Yes we digitize VHS Tapes and convert your tapes to DVD. Prices start from $3.00 per DVD, depending on the DVD case of choice. Please note there is an additional $5 fee assessed for all NTSC American/Japanese tapes above usual rate.
What Is Your Best Price Guarantee Policy?
Tapes to Digital is happy to beat any standard price quote from other established digital conversion businesses. The terms and conditions of this program exclude non-registered businesses. Prices must be inclusive of postage and shipping charges and must be in place for at least 2 months to qualify.
However, if you would like us to consider accepting any offers that fall outside these parameters, please contact us and we will assess the same on a case by case basis.
Can I share my digital videos with friends and family online?
Yes! You can share your digital video files on social media, via file sharing services, and by email as well as copy them to USB sticks and burn them to DVDs. Please note that some social media sites have size requirements and your files must comply in order to be uploaded to certain platforms.
What sort of tapes do you convert to digital and DVD?
We convert VHS, VHS-C, 8mm, Hi8, Digital8, miniDV, and Betamax. Please note there is an additional $5 fee assessed for all NTSC American/Japanese tapes above usual rate.
Can I watch your conversions on my Smart TV?
Yes! Our tape conversions are formatted to play on up-to-date Windows, Mac and Smart TV. This ensures that you have the best experience in keeping with modern technology.

What do you mean by ‘from $14’?
We charge $14.00 for each tape up to 1.5 hours as Analog tape conversions have to be done in real time. In addition, the price of $14 only applies to the tapes after the 30th tape. The previous 30 tapes would be at a rate of $18.00.
Jobs that require more than 11 tapes but less than 20 tapes are charged at $19.00 per tape and anything less than 10 tapes is $20.00 per tape which is still well below the market rates.
Please note there is an additional $5 fee applied for all NTSC American/Japanese tapes above the usual rate.
What methods of payment do you accept to convert VHS to DVD ?
The company has an ABN, and currently there is no access to credit/debit card machines. At present, we only accept payment by Bank Transfer or cash.
